Πριν από λίγο καιρό τελείωσε το Techcrunch Disrupt. Το Techcrunch Disrupt είναι ένα συνέδριο που διοργανώθηκε από το γνωστό τεχνολογικό site Techcrunch, στην Νέα Υόρκη. Σε αυτό το συνέδριο παρουσιάστηκαν κάποια νέα startups και υπήρχε μια κριτική επιτροπή που θα επέλεγε ένα από αυτά τα startups για ένα χρηματικό έπαθλο, της τάξεως των 50000 δολαρίων.
Το νικητήριο startup ήταν το “Soluto”. Τι είναι όμως το Soluto;
Είναι το λογισμικό που θα σώσει πολλούς ανθρώπους και θα σας γλυτώσει πολύ χρόνο. Αρκετές φορές θα έχετε βρεθεί σε μία κατάσταση που ο υπολογιστής σας θα είναι πολύ αργός ή κάτι δεν θα δουλεύει καλά και θα ψάχνετε με τις ώρες να δείτε τι φταίει. Αυτό το παθαίνουν και οι επαγγελματίες, μην ανησυχείτε.
Τι θα λέγατε όμως, αν υπήρχε ένα λογισμικό που το βάζετε να «τρέξει» και να σας λέει αμέσως τι φταίει;
Αυτό ακριβώς κάνει το Soluto. Το κατεβάζετε, το αφήνετε να τρέξει, κάνετε επανεκκίνηση του υπολογιστή σας και μετά σας λέει αν όλα πήγαν καλά, και αν κάτι δεν πήγε καλά, τι φταίει. Πολλές από τις εφαρμογές που κατεβάζουμε από το internet μπορεί να επηρεάζουν την λειτουργία του υπολογιστή και να το κάνουν πιο αργό. Το Soluto υπόσχεται ότι θα καταφέρνει και θα βρίσκει αυτές τις “ελαττωματικές” εφαρμογές και μετά το μόνο που θα έχετε να κάνετε είναι να τις απενεργοποιήσετε. Πολύ απλό, ε;

Μπορείτε να κατεβάσετε το Soluto από το επίσημο site. Μερικές φόρες λέει Sign Up for Beta. Περιμένετε λίγο, λίγες ώρες και λογικά θα αλλάξει και θα δώσει direct download link. Εγώ κατέβασα την beta έκδοση και μου φαίνεται αρκετά καλή. Το boot time μου ήταν 1 λεπτό και 28 δευτερόλεπτα, και δεν είχα καμία εφαρμογή να τρέχει κατά την διάρκεια του boot. Αυτός ο χρόνος είναι αρκετά καλός. Πολλοί έχουν εφαρμογές σαν το ΜSN, Skype, iTunes να ανοίγουν αυτόματα. Το μόνο που καταφέρνουν με αυτό είναι να κάνουν τον υπολογιστή τους πιο αργό.
Από ότι φαίνεται, το Soluto είναι ένα λογισμικό που θα παίξει σημαντικό ρόλο στο μέλλον.

Τα προβλήματα που αναφέρονται σε αυτό το post (αργή εκκίνηση, καθυστέρηση στη λειτουργία του υπολογιστή κτλ) αφορούν μόνο στο σκουπιδολογισμικό που λέγεται "Windows". Τέτοια προβλήματα (και πολλά άλλα) δεν αντιμετωπίζουν οι χρήστες OSX ή Linux λειτουργικών συστημάτων.
